To volunteer at Preble Street one must be 13 years old or older with an accompanying adult, or 15 years old or older alone. There are some opportunities where one has to be 21 years old. To start volunteering one must complete a simple registration through the volunteer portal and then sign up for shifts!

What do the donations help fund?
Preble Street is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that depends for its success on the generosity of friends who lend their time and their resources. Every gift you make, every hour you spend helps those most in need.
All links lead to a secure off-site page for making a donation. Aside from providing a link, How to Help in Maine does not participate in the transaction in any way. Most of the charities are 501(c)(3) and therefore tax deductible.
