MIDCOAST HUNGER PREVENTION PROGRAM

MCHPP has offered a safe meal location in the community of Brunswick since 1983, and they are continuing their efforts to expand throughout the greater Mid Coast area. Some of the programs included in Brunswick include a soup kitchen, backpack program, summer meal program, and food bank.

Students in grades 5 through 8 are welcome to volunteer with parental supervision. Students in grades 9 or older are allowed to volunteer without parental supervision in the Food Bank or Pantry.

What do the donations help fund?

MCHPP uses donations for a variety of things. The money helps to give groceries to families in need, and lunches to students in need. In general, donations allow the MCHPP to support low-income families in the community by providing them with access to healthy food.

All links lead to a secure off-site page for making a donation.  Aside from providing a link, How to Help in Maine does not participate in the transaction in any way.  Most of the charities are 501(c)(3) and therefore tax deductible
