IMMIGRANT LEGAL ADVOCACY PROJECT

ILAP helps low-income immigrants improve their legal status and works for more just and humane laws and policies affecting immigrants. We assist 3,000 Mainers annually as they navigate an immigration system under attack to find safety from violence and persecution, reunite or remain with family members, and advance towards economic security.

What do the donations help fund?

By making a gift to ILAP, you can join hundreds of other supporters who believe that every Mainer should have access to the immigration legal services they need to find safety from violence and persecution, stay together with family members, and advance towards economic security. Your partnership will help 3,000 people each year navigate an immigration system under attack, and bolster targeted advocacy efforts at the local, state and federal levels to create stronger Maine communities for all residents. ILAP is ineligible for most government funding, so relies on the support of our community to further our mission. Join us in advancing the causes of justice and equity for immigrants in Maine, while strengthening communities across the state.

All links lead to a secure off-site page for making a donation.  Aside from providing a link, How to Help in Maine does not participate in the transaction in any way.  Most of the charities are 501(c)(3) and therefore tax deductible
