Camp Sunshine provides retreats combining respite, recreation and support, while enabling hope and promoting joy, for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families through the various stages of a child’s illness. Camp Sunshine's program is offered year-round and designed to serve the entire family in a retreat model. The program is free of charge to families and includes on-site medical and psychosocial support.

Due to COVID-19, Camp Sunshine has had to move to a “virtual” format this year. Disinfecting wipes, as well as new arts and crafts supplies such as beads, pipe cleaners, construction paper, scrapbook paper, gems, markers, crayons and all sizes of pompoms can be mailed directly to Camp Sunshine (35 Acadia Rd, Casco, ME 04015) and be utilized for the organization’s “Box of Sunshine” initiative.

What do the donations help fund?

Camp Sunshine was built by charitable contributions and continues to function entirely on donations to meet its $3 million annual program budget. No donation is too large or too small, and every gift makes a difference.

All links lead to a secure off-site page for making a donation.  Aside from providing a link, How to Help in Maine does not participate in the transaction in any way.  Most of the charities are 501(c)(3) and therefore tax deductible
