We feed hundreds of people each week with donations from Whole Foods Market, Wayside Food Programs, and people like you! We offer our neighbors groceries to take home, delicious community meals, and our friendship.

To be a volunteer at FBC Portland, you must be able to work safely with others, be capable of carrying 20 or more pounds and be able to work a 2-3 hour shift. Please contact us if you would like to get involved.

What do the donations help fund?
Donations help fund matierlas to distribute bulk foods to help as many families as possible, purchase staple household items that are rarely donated but needed, transportation costs to pick up local donations, help neighbors cope with unexpected events, feed young people during breaks from school, keep food stored safely, etc.
All links lead to a secure off-site page for making a donation. Aside from providing a link, How to Help in Maine does not participate in the transaction in any way. Most of the charities are 501(c)(3) and therefore tax deductible.
